Our Services

Individual Counselling

We offer free, survivor-directed, non-judgmental counselling to all survivors of sexual violence aged 16+. Individuals are offered 15 one-on-one sessions with a sexual assault counsellor.

In addition to counselling services available to survivors themselves, we also provide support and information for parents and partners of survivors.

We only accept self-referrals for our individual counselling. To make an appointment for yourself, please contact the centre at 613-967-6300.

24 Hour Crisis Line

Confidential, non-judgmental support is available for survivors of sexual violence 24 hour per day, 7 day per week through our crisis line. If you find yourself in need of immediate support, please call 1-877-544-6424.

If you require immediate medical attention please call 9-1-1 or visit the emergency room at your local Quinte Health hospital.

Support Groups

We offer support groups for all survivors of sexual violence age 16 or older. Currently we offer men’s groups and women’s groups that are run separately, and are available based on demand. In addition to survivor specific groups, we offer support and information services to parents and partners of survivors.

Lending Library

Our collection includes books and audio/visual material on a variety of topics including sexual violence, childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, ritual abuse, trauma, relationships, sexuality, family, feminism, 2SLGBTQIA+ issues, mind, body, and spirit. It includes fiction and non-fiction geared to diverse audiences. Information packages on various topics about sexual violence are also available.

Paths Of Courage

SACQD offers a one-of-a-kind program, surrounded by nature, at our Paths of Courage Healing & Retreat Centre. Week long programs provide sexual assault/abuse survivors with opportunities to heal, transform and become empowered.
